Tahmina is an RMT and Osteopathic Manual Practitioner, graduated from the National Academy of Osteopathy in Toronto, Ontario and a member of the Canadian Alliance of Alternative Medicine. In 2011, Tahmina graduated in Emergency Services with Honours and immediately landed herself a job with Southlake Regional Health Centre. Within the years, she further advanced her experience at Headwaters Healthcare Centre in Orangeville, Ontario. She often witnessed patients coming into the hospital for medical care of many different problems such as fibromyalgia, chronic pains, trauma from birth and much more.
In 2014, Tahmina completed her certification as a Certified Personal Trainer. Once again, Tahmina observed that the majority of her clients were coming in with a variety of complaints. She found herself reading and researching ways to try and further help their conditions. It was at this point that Tahmina decided to advance her education in Osteopathy and Massage Therapy. She successfully graduated from both programs allowing her a firm understanding of the human anatomy and physiology. While Tahmina treated her patients, she discovered that the body has an interrelated structural and functional system and by removing mechanical restrictions found in our joints, muscles, ligaments, visceral organs or fascia, the body is then in turn able to self regulate and promote healing.
Tahmina has treated conditions such as scoliosis, plantar fasciitis, TMJ disorder, chronic joint pain, and sports injury. Tahmina specializes in paediatric osteopathy focusing on infants/children suffering from plagiocephaly, tongue-tie, torticollis, colic and much more. “To find health should be the object of the practitioner, anyone can find disease”, Dr A.T.
